When shadows are light

When the camera sees what we simply can't

We all know that there are many different colors, sizes, and intensities of stars, all at different distances from us. These distances in turn affect the relative colors, sizes, and intensities of the stars as we see them. The camera seems to help visualize that depth and complexity of the night sky as it can show us the dimmer stars that our eyes can't discern, dazzled as they are by the brighter or closer ones that outshine them.
